Freedom of Education Festival EFAEC 2013

Civil disobedience in Europe EFAEC 2013

Eddy O'Neill: Father of six home educated children, some of whom are now grown up. He and his wife have a court case ongoing in Ireland because they refuse to register their children in the national register of home education. They believe that education outside the school system is a right and shouldn’t be compromised by having to undergo a previous registration process. Home grown knowledge:

Leslie Barson: Mother of two grown up children who never went to school. Founder of the Otherwise Club in 1993. One of the founders of the European list Learning Unlimited and long time activist for freedom of education.

Sylvie Martin: Autor of the book ‘The ten lies of non-schooling’. She and her family have an ongoing legal case in France because of their refusal to allow evaluations of their children that go against their family’s pedagogical convictions. http://horsdesmurs.com/
